This is the only one that really works. No slipping, adjusting, straining, etc.So good I bought 3 for family members. But $10 ish??? You can get them at Walmart in the $3+ range. But very hard to find now - sorry I didnt buy more! Going to buy a handful next time I see them at that price. Note I said manual - the electric Black & Decker lids off is better for very stubborn medium to largish factory sealed jars like salsa. Anyone who knows this jar, knows it would be a great test for any jar opener .. it's large, about 4-4.5 inches diameter so it's hard to get your hand around and it's vacuum sealed tight. I didn't have a chance to test out the strength of the opener because as I was opening the tool wide enough to fit the cap, it snapped in two. I didn't even want to deal with returning it .. it went straight to the trash.For grammy (no offense grams) opening ketchup bottles or baby food jars, I imagine this would work great.
